Teacher Feature Sunday

Oh my gosh! The beginning of the school year is so close and I literally have all of the feels right now. One minute I am so excited because we can finally start putting our hard work into action, but then the next is straight anxiety! If you're having these feelings too, please know that I am here for you and happy to help however I can. I pulled three more innovative lesson plan toolbox ideas that I wanted to share with you! I hope you find them useful.

If you haven't checked out @krisszajner on Instagram, then you need to give him a follow. He has so many useful technology tips and strategies that teachers can implement right away in their classrooms whether it is in person or virtual. There is everything from building word tiles to random generators to a telephone game using sentences and even a link for 20 ways to ditch that textbook in K-2. It looks like Kris has something for everyone! Here is his link: https://instagram.com/krisszajner?igshid=1x4h23wm395cj

Our next teacher feature is @flair4instruction. Amanda has created a choice board of virtual meeting ideas. There are twelve different ideas on the board but the one that stood out to me was Musical Hats. With this activity, students keep a hat on their heads until the music stops, then they take the hat off. The last one to take the hat off is out of the round. What a great way to teach sportsmanship and just having some simple fun! I'll link @flair4instruction here so you can take a look: https://instagram.com/flair4instruction?igshid=6oin8c47kcu3

Our last teacher feature this week is Meghan from  @letmeknowhowitgoes. When you follow this passionate educator you will find tools for all sorts of classroom necessities such as having students focus on how they learn best, journal writing ideas, and my favorite highlight codes for Google Doc writings. I mean, is that genius or what? This to me is a game-changer because as you read through student work they will know exactly what you are thinking and you can give overall thoughts on the piece. Love it! Here is the link so you can see for yourself: https://instagram.com/letmeknowhowitgoes?igshid=1p6dl5p8w3hg2

I am going to continue to find and share resources that are innovative and easily implemented in your classroom. Keep checking back on Sundays for a new blog post. If there is something in particular you are looking for, then please feel free to DM me on Instagram (@lessonplantoolbox) as I am happy to help.
