Teacher Feature Sunday: Volume 15 Holiday Wish Lists

If you have been around for these past few months, then you know on Sundays we are all about making teachers' lives easier! Well, actually that is our goal every day, but especially on Sundays as we prepare to head back into the classroom. This week, we wanted to focus on holiday wish list items for teachers that will hopefully make for a jolly golly good life!

The first item we strongly suggest every teacher to have is a planner that you will use! Digital planners are amazing because they can travel with you wherever you go. They are fun and you can add so many details. Personally, I am more of a "I need to write it down or I will definitely forget" type of person. As long as I can date it and write down what needs to get done, then I'm all set. You can literally find a planner to fit your needs no matter what they may be. If you are looking for something simple, lessonplantoolbox.com has a FREE weekly planner and wellness guide to help educators set and accomplish their goals. Next, we truly feel every educator needs some type of fitness routine so maybe this is the year you splurge on an at-home gym piece of equipment. In our area, gyms are hit or miss with being open because of the pandemic so many people are working out at home. I ended up joining the world of Beach Body and I couldn't be happier with my decision. I never thought I would enjoy working out at home, but when you have to you have to and I fell in love. Even if you simply invest in hand weights or jump ropes, that's a great start. We just really encourage you to find a routine that works for you.

Finally, we strongly suggest finding books to add to your wish list. Books are usually pretty affordable and so many people enjoy buying them because they're an easy gift. When you think about creating a list of books try to include a wide variety such as picture books you want for your classroom, professional books you haven't wanted to spend the money on, and self help books that will help to grow your mind. Once you get in the habit of picking up a book and reading or downloading and listening to it, you're going to find there's a whole new world out there!

We would love to hear from you about what you would add to this list. Drop us a DM (@lessonplantoolbox) and share your amazing ideas. Most importantly, do your best to find the gift of time so you can enjoy all the things that bring you happiness.
